Mike Filsaime’s Lifetime Deal GrooveFunnels Vs Russell Brunson’s Clickfunnels….Which is Better?
So, it seems, Clickfunnels has a legitimate rival.
A few well, lot’s (I’m talking a small army’s worth) have tried (and failed) to take Clickfunnels down and now Mike Filsaime wants to have a crack at it too.
Full disclosure here: I’m no Mike Filsaime fan, I can’t stand the bloke. I can just about digest Russell Brunson but only in small doses.
Mike Filsaime though, he just plain rubs me up the wrong the way.
So this isn’t going to be one of those posts with my head rammed solidly up Mike Filsaime or Russell Brunson’s butt hole.
I don’t particularly like either of them.
My goal here is to give you a balanced opinion of both of these products, not necessarily the individuals behind them, I’ll leave somebody else to do the ‘bad mouthing’.
So there’s that.
But anyway, Mike Filsaime has decided he wants to go head-to-head with Russell Brunson, in a kinda ‘winner takes all’ kind of way with his Groove Digital brand, mainly GrooveFunnels (sometimes referred to as GroovePages).
Think of a ‘Gladiator’ type dual – full tilt Russell Crowe.
In fact, I’m not even sure what final name Filsaime’s decided on “Groovefunnels” or “Groovepages”, he seems to arbitrarily use both, but my point here is, he’s decided he wants to have go at knocking Clickfunnels off it’s god forsaken ‘marketing funnel builder’ perch.
I’m a former Clickfunnels user, so I know first hand how downright awful it is for building marketing funnels and I’m of the opinion that pretty much anything is better than ClickFunnels.
So it’s going to be interesting to see how GrooveFunnels stacks up as a viable funnel builder alternative.
Full disclaimer: I do NOT use either of GrooveFunnels or Clickfunnels currently, but I HAVE been a full paying Clickfunnels user in the past and I was recently given access to Groovefunnels to try it out.
If you want to try Groovefunnels yourself….then here’s one thing Mike Filsaime is doing that I’ve not seen ANYBODY else do yet (with a full SAAS in active use)…
Mike Filsaime has a free Lifetime deal of his marketing funnel builder software.
Groovepages or Groovefunnels, whatever you want to call it, has a lifetime deal:
Yes, you heard that right, it’s free.
“Yeah but I bet it’s not even the real thing!” I hear you ask.
Now obviously, he’s not doing this just for the hell of doing it, there’s obviously a paid tier and he’s using the free tier to reel you in.
And that’s fine.
This free tier is a lot more generous than the usual “Free tier that’s practically useless to anyone to do anything meaningful with‘.
Groovepages Free tier is actually pretty dang useful and it still has probably 90% of the full functionality of the GroovePages full suite.
He is, genuinely, giving you access to most of the entire thing.
Albeit, like I just said, a watered down version, but it’s still fully functional and it goes way beyond other useless ‘Free version’ of just about any other software you can think of.
So considering my relatively dim opinion of Mike Filsaime, I was pretty impressed by this and went ahead and checked it out for myself.
At this point, I should make you aware, in the ‘Free lifetime version’ of Groove Funnels, you get FULL complete access to ‘GrooveCart’ aswell.
This is also free and for LIFE.
It’s the real Mccoy, you can create upsells, downsells, orderbumps, 1 clickupsell and FULL checkout orderforms with it – FREE. I mean it, it’s free.
It’s the closest rival to Thrivecart I’ve seen yet.
So onto the REAL question…
Is GrooveFunnels a Better Marketing Funnel Builder Tool Than ClickFunnels?
In my opinion, not yet.
Groovefunnels is brand new and very ‘early stage’.
Clickfunnels (as bad as it is) is a lot more mature.
By that I mean, it’s been around for a long time now, but it’s still, in my opinion, every bit as awful as when Russell Brunson first released it.
The issue’s I had with Clickfunnels was mainly server load issues.
Russell Brunson, in my opinion, made several near fatal errors when he launched clickfunnels:
- He launched it with NO proper server set-up in place. Russell has even admitted this himself, he even moved to a Turbo version of Amazon web services which still to this day is simply not good enough.
- He didn’t properly think about end-user useage. He just kind of launched it, threw a whole bunch of sh*t at the wall and hoped something would stick. Well something did stick, all the sh*t he threw at the wall stuck.
- He didn’t (and still doesn’t) have a proper support system in place, Getting a response from Clickfunnels support was in itself the main reason I stopped using Clickfunnels…Nobody from The Clickfunnels support team bothered to reply in anything less than about 3 days.
I could deal with Clickfunnels having server issues, but when I couldn’t reach support during those issues, that was pretty annoying and was the straw that broke the camels back for me and so out the window Clickfunnels went.
(by the way, if you’re in any way curious about what I use now instead of Clickfunnels then click here. Hint: it ISN’T GrooveFunnels either)
Now, if Mike Filsaime can come up trumps with GrooveFunnels where Clickfunnels fails on those points I just mentioned, then they’re very well positioned to stomp all over clickfunnels.
HOWEVER, from what I’ve seen of Groovefunnels, they’re not quite there yet.
With that being said, it’s still well worth signing up to GrooveFunnels because of what GrooveFunnels could be.
What you don’t want to do, is leave it and then in a few months time when GrooveFunnels stomps all over Clickfunnels and the price for it goes through the roof.
At this moment, as of right now, , like I told you, Mike Filsaime is offering an edition of his Groove Funnels account free for lifetime.
That’s not going to last forever, so if you are in the slightest bit curious, I recommend grabbing one of those accounts while you still have the chance.
During my testing of GrooveFunnels as a marketing funnel builder tool, I didn’t find it particularly intuitive.
The funnel creation flow is a bit “clunky” to say the least, but those things will improve.
What’s yet to be tested, is how well GrooveFunnels servers cope when they hit Clickfunnels numbers.
That’s the real test.
If Mike Filsaime get’s that aspect right, he’s already going to have an absolutely massive chokehold on clickfunnels.
I know it, other past users of Clickfunnels know it, hell even Russell Brunson knows it and needless to say, Mike Filsaime knows it aswell.
So it’s going to be really interesting to see where Mike Filsaime takes GrooveFunnels from here.
Do I recommend Groovefunnels right now in it’s current state?
Not if you’re intending to move your entire business to it, no.
It’s too early stage for that.
But if you’re just curious about it, then I DO recommend you get a free account here.
So what do I recommend instead of Clickfunnels and Groovefunnels?
If you’re just starting out I recommend what I talk about here.
If you’re a bit more seasoned, then this.
